UPDATE (December 22nd, 2021):

A new build with a dash button (SPACE on keyboard,) and a reset button ('R' on keyboard) has been uploaded!

There are also other minor changes, like tagged characters actually being 'frozen' instead of just looking funny.

The 'game jam' edition is still available in a downloadable format for posterity.

Next up to implement is probably a pause menu and a main menu? Either that, or random level generation.

A game made for The Games Den Quick (2021), a hybrid game jam + charity livestream event! I worked solo to put something simple together while also participating in the rest of the event - a short, playable proof of concept that is easily extensible.

This could be easily replicated by someone with minimum experience, as made clear during the stream segment where I discussed this project and showed my work - it mostly consists of very simple elements combined in such a way as to make a game that looks chaotic.

This game is super incomplete! Zero polish whatsoever! No retry button, no timer, and no run animations for most of the creatures. It's also missing the 'dash' mechanic I never got around to implementing, when 'Dash' was literally the theme/prompt for the game jam.

That said, there's something playable to amuse yourself with for like a minute. Hope bouncing around for a couple of seconds gives you something to smile about today!

I'll periodically keep updating this game now that the game jam is over, since there are a few simple features I still want to put in! The GitHub repo will have more up-to-date commits and changes before I make the leap to reupload the WebGL + other builds to this page.
